Job summary

SCS Packaging in Shepparton VIC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician for a permanent full-time role. The successful candidate will run and analyse diagnostic tests on packaging systems, maintain and repair mechanical assemblies, and perform preventative maintenance in a busy production environment.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related and a minimum of three years’ experience, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Run and analyse diagnostic tests on packaging systems and equipment

• Collect and analyse data, perform complex calculations and prepare diagrams
• Organise and supervise inspection and maintenance of packaging machines
• Ensure designs and finished work meet specifications, regulations and contract provisions

Job Description

SCS Packaging are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team in Shepparton VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Running and analysing diagnostic test on a wide range of packaging systems and equipments
• Maintain, test and repair/replace mechanical assemblies on highest quality packaging equipment
• Perform assessments and repairs in the production sector and workshop
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Selecting tools and equipment
• Collecting and analysing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagrams
• Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of packaging machines
• Ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions

Skills and Abilities

• Ideally have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related
• A minimum of three years’ experience
• The ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience Fulltime Positions available
