Job summary

The Arnott’s Group in Virginia, QLD is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for the Day Shift. You will operate packing machinery, feed product on the line, and ensure safe, efficient production with quality checks throughout the shift.

Ideal candidates have FMCG/manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and a commitment to GMP and Lean principles. Uniforms and PPE are provided; pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience within FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of safety, quality and operational standards.
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset and proactive problem-solving.
• Proven reliability with strong attendance and performance.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Set up, changeovers, operate and troubleshoot equipment in line with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain efficient operation of packing machines and feeding stations.
• Complete quality control checks throughout the shift.
• Uphold GMP and hygiene standards, ensuring production areas remain clean and compliant.
• Work independently and with the team to meet daily production targets.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support and develop team members where required.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
