Job summary

The Arnott's Group is seeking a Machine Operator for the Marleston site to operate packing machinery and feed product along the line, ensuring safe, efficient and consistent production outcomes.

The role requires a strong mechanical mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on team environment. Pre-employment screening and uniforms/PPE are provided; Afternoon Shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is highly regarded.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to follow procedures and document work.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset and proactive problem solving.
• Proven reliability with a strong attendance and performance record.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Full working rights in Australia are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up, perform changeovers, operate, and troubleshoot equipment per Arnott's standards.
• Maintain efficient operation of packing machines and feeding stations.
• Complete quality control checks throughout the shift.
• Uphold GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards, keeping areas clean and compliant.
• Work independently and with the team to meet daily production targets.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support, coach, and develop team members as required.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
