Job summary

The Arnott’s Group is hiring a Machine Operator for the 12 Hour Night Shift at our Marleston site. You will operate packing machinery, feed product on the line, and ensure safe, efficient, and quality production outcomes.

Ideal candidates have prior FMCG manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and a disciplined approach to safety, quality, and documentation. The role supports continuous improvement within a hands-on, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting machinery.
• Sound understanding of safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is highly regarded.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow procedures, complete documentation, and effectively communicate with team members and leaders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proven reliability with a strong attendance and performance record.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Full working rights in Australia are essential

Responsibilities

• Set up, perform changeovers, operate, and troubleshoot equipment in line with Arnott's Safety, Quality, and Performance Standards.
• Maintain the efficient operation of packing machines and feeding stations.
• Complete quality control checks throughout the shift.
• Uphold GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards, ensuring production areas remain clean and compliant.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support, coach, and develop team members where required.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
