Job summary

The Arnott’s Group in Virginia, QLD is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for the Day Shift. You will operate packing machinery, feed product on the line, and ensure safe, efficient production with quality checks throughout the shift.

Ideal candidates have FMCG/manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and a commitment to GMP and Lean principles. Uniforms and PPE are provided; pre-employment screening is required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator - Day Shift to join the Arnott's team at our Virginia bakery.

This role is ideal for someone with experience operating machinery in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment who remains calm under pressure, takes pride in producing quality work, and enjoys solving problems. You'll be responsible for operating packing machinery and feeding product on the line, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production outcomes.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Set up, perform changeovers, operate, and troubleshoot equipment in line with Arnott's Safety, Quality, and Performance Standards.
• Maintain the efficient operation of packing machines and feeding stations.
• Complete quality control checks throughout the shift.
• Uphold GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards, ensuring production areas remain clean and compliant.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support, coach, and develop team members where required.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting machinery and equipment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow procedures, complete documentation, and effectively communicate with team members and leaders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.

• Proven reliability with a strong attendance and performance record.
