Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Australia is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for its Forrestfield site. This full-time role operates and troubleshoots packaging equipment on a rotating roster across 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am shifts, Monday to Friday, with strong focus on quality and safety.

You will monitor production, perform quality checks, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams while training new operators. Legal work rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting machinery is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Forklift operator licence or willingness to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot packaging and automated production equipment to maintain continuous production flow.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure labeling and printing meet requirements and follow escalation procedures.
• Ensure bags are filled and sealed correctly, meet specifications, and scan barcodes for inventory control.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Rolling, Milling and Maintenance teams for seamless operations.
• Train new operators.

Details:

• Location: Forrestfield (WA)
• Rotating roster (6am – 2pm), (2pm - 10pm), (10pm – 6am)
• Monday to Friday
• Position: Permanent Full Time
• Selection Process: Phone Conversation - Interview - Online Testing - Background and Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot packaging and automated production equipment, maintaining continuous production flow through equipment calibration, process control and fault resolution.
• Conduct regular quality control checks, verifying that labelling and printing meet all requirements. Follow escalation procedures when necessary
• Ensure that bags are correctly filled, sealed, and that the finished product meets all specifications
• Complete all necessary documentation clearly and fully & accurately scan barcodes to track products and ensure proper inventory management
• Uphold high standards in safety, quality, productivity, and reliability
• Collaborate with the Quality, Rolling, Milling, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations
• Training of new operators

Qualifications

About you:

• Previous experience with troubleshooting machinery - preferred but not essential
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Forklift operator licence or willing to obtain, as requirement of role
