Job summary

Ritchie Consulting Group in Thomastown; Melbourne area is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission and service packaging equipment. The role requires travel to client sites across Melbourne & Victoria, with on‑call overtime and a stable Monday–Friday schedule from 8am to 4pm.

The successful candidate will train customers on hardware and software, develop proficiency in equipment, and receive opportunities for in‑house and on‑field training. A pre‑employment medical is required.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals & drawings.
Experience with PLC programming.
Practical knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Electrical and mechanical background/qualification.
Must pass a full pre-employment medical/basic fitness test.

Responsibilities

Set-up, commissioning and installation of packaging equipment.
Travel to customers' sites across Melbourne & Victoria.
Train customers on the use of hardware and software products.
Become proficient with the operation and technical aspects of new and existing equipment and technologies.
Provide expert technical advice to employees and customers.
