Job summary

OneSchool Global is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Teacher for the Nambour Campus on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE), permanent, commencing Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on supporting students with complex learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs to access the curriculum and participate in the classroom.

Qualifications

• All applicants will need an excellent understanding of the Queensland Australian Curriculum and Syllabus, be a registered teacher within Queensland Australia and have relevant teaching and tertiary qualifications.
• Experience working with students who have identified and diagnosed high needs along with experience developing and delivering individualised curriculum programs across to meet a student’s functional needs, will be highly desirable.
• You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices, to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including video conferencing and online resources.

Responsibilities

• Support students with complex learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs to access the curriculum and participate in the classroom environment.
• Develop and implement appropriate adjustments, interventions, and support strategies that promote engagement, inclusion, independence, and educational progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and allied health professionals to ensure successful integration into learning environments and meaningful participation in school life.
• Lead development of inclusive practices, support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and foster a whole-school approach to supporting diverse learners.
