Job summary

Mai-Wel Group is seeking a Support Worker for afternoons and overnights to join the SIL team. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living activities and ensure a safe, respectful home for participants. Availability includes weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

You will follow care plans, document handovers, and work with leadership to improve services, while building independence and confidence in participants.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar role.
• Availability to work overnights, sleepovers, and afternoon shifts, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support enabling participants to live independent lives.
• Follow care plans and escalation procedures; maintain accurate documentation and clear handovers.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with participants while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Work collaboratively with leadership to solve problems and contribute to continuous improvement.
