Job summary

W Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Front Office Clerk to join our luxury hotel team. You will handle night audit tasks, guest check-ins, and reservations using OPERA, delivering seamless, personalized service in a fast-paced upscale setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges and night audit backup.
• Process all payment types, vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
• Print contingency lists and complete reports.
• Sell rooms/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability.
• Operate telephone switchboard and handle wake-up calls and guest messages.
• Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
• Coordinate check-in/pre-registration for arriving groups and assign rooms.
• Support Marriott Bonvoy enrollments and promote brand culture.
• Handle guest requests following W service standards and liaise with relevant teams.

What We Expect Of You

• Ability to work overnight shifts full-time
• Previous experience in hotel front office, especially within fast-paced upscale/luxury settings, is highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience with OPERA hotel PMS is advantageous.
• A proactive and upbeat demeanor that inspires excellence

A Glance At What You Will Do

• Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date
• Process all payment types, vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
• Print contingency lists and complete reports
• Sell rooms/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability
• Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guest of any messages
• Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
• Organize and coordinate check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups; assigning rooms according to guests' needs
• Support Marriott Bonvoy enrollments and make guests feel like part of the Marriott International family
• Bring our Whatever/Whenever brand culture to life with every guest interaction
• Process guest check-ins/outs using OPERA, verifying identity, securing payment, and assigning rooms
• Respond to questions, concerns, and requests using W service standards
• Log and follow up on guest requests, calls, and service issues & liaise with relevant teams to resolve guest concerns
