Job summary

Rushway Transport in Brisbane's Rocklea depot is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to coordinate overnight and linehaul operations, manage drivers and freight, and ensure on-time deliveries. You will monitor schedules, handle delays, communicate with drivers and depot staff, and uphold fatigue management and safety standards.

This is a full-time on-site role offering a hands-on opportunity to improve operational performance.

Qualifications

Experience in transport allocation and scheduling.
Strong prioritisation and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
Familiarity with fatigue management and chain of responsibility is desirable.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and allocate drivers, vehicles and freight across overnight and linehaul operations.
Manage the allocation of fresh produce freight to meet timeframes.
Monitor transport schedules and respond promptly to delays and issues.
Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, depot staff and other teams.
Ensure allocations maximise productivity and monitor delivery progress.
Maintain transport records and schedules.
Ensure allocations comply with fatigue management and chain of responsibility requirements and WHS procedures.
Assist with day-to-day depot coordination and continuous improvement.
