Job summary

John Holland Group seeks an experienced Overhead Wiring Supervisor (OHW) to lead the safe and efficient delivery of OHW construction on the B2N rail upgrade project in Queensland. You will coordinate field delivery teams, manage access and possessions, and drive high‑quality outcomes while upholding safety and industry best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising OHW construction and maintenance within a rail environment.
• Strong knowledge of OHW systems, standards, and rail infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews and subcontractors in high‑risk operational environments.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to Zero Harm and rail safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the installation, modification, maintenance and commissioning of OHW systems.
• Lead frontline crews and subcontractors to deliver works safely and efficiently.
• Plan and manage daily activities including labour, plant, materials and rail access.
• Ensure compliance with rail standards, electrical safety and quality specifications.
• Coordinate rail possessions, isolations, permits and stakeholder interfaces.
• Monitor progress, productivity and quality, resolving site issues and risks.
• Maintain a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and inspections.
