Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Casual Educator for Outside School Hours Care in the Outer Bayside area (Edithvale, Carrum Downs and surrounds). You will join a supportive team, delivering safe, engaging activities for children aged 5–12 before and after school, with opportunities during school holidays.

Ideal candidates are passionate about children's wellbeing, team players, and confident communicators with families and colleagues. WWCC and a Cert III or Diploma are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in before/after school care and/or education is preferred but not essential.
• Strong passion for supporting children's learning and well-being.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team with open communication.

Responsibilities

• Support OSHC program activities during before/after school care.
• Supervise and engage children in safe, fun, and educational activities.

Who is TeamKids?

TeamKids is the premium provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) throughout Australia. We exist to excite, engage and entertain children before school, after school and throughout school holidays.

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a rolewhere no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Edithvale, Carrum downs and surrounding suburbs

Shifts available between:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids' commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
