Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking a Roads and Drains Maintenance Officer Unsealed to maintain unsealed roads and drainage across the Shire. The role involves outdoor work, operating plant and equipment, traffic management and general labouring to keep roads safe and well maintained.

You will join a supportive team, manage tasks across the Unsealed Road and Drain Maintenance Team, and contribute to delivering reliable services to the community.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent is required.
• Competency in operation of plant and equipment (Backhoe, Bobcat, Excavator).
• Current Victorian driver licence with heavy rigid endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and equipment to maintain the Shire civil infrastructure network in a safe, efficient manner.
• Drive trucks and assist with traffic management set-ups as part of maintenance tasks.
• Carry out labouring and support work in all weather conditions as directed by the team.
