Job summary

Office of Sport NSW is seeking a Program Officer (Outdoor Instructor) to facilitate outdoor recreation and education activities for school, community and sporting groups. You will work across our network of Sport and Recreation Centres, delivering curriculum-aligned programs and building confidence, teamwork and wellbeing.

The role includes on-site residential duties, risk management, equipment handling and on-call availability, with casual and ongoing full-time opportunities and salary ranges

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating participation in outdoor recreation to achieve outcomes.
• Strong facilitation and instructional skills.
• Commitment to participant safety, wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate outdoor recreation and education activities for diverse client groups.
• Ensure participant safety and apply risk management practices.
• Prepare equipment, resources and maintain activity areas.
• Roostered overnight duties and on-call availability for residential programs.
