Job summary

The Office of Sport NSW is hiring a Program Officer to facilitate outdoor recreation and education activities for school, community and sporting groups. You will work with teachers, group leaders, and participants to deliver safe, engaging experiences that support learning and wellbeing.

Role includes overnight duties at residential programs, rosters, and equipment management. A strong commitment to safety, inclusion and high-quality learning experiences is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating outdoor recreation or outdoor education activities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current Driver’s license.
• Willingness to work non-continuous shifts including overnight duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outdoor recreation activities aligned to program objectives.
• Lead outdoor recreation and team-building activities for school camps and holidays.
• Support community groups and sporting organisations to achieve outcomes.
• Prepare equipment, resources and maintain activity areas.
• Manage participant safety and apply risk management practices.
