Job summary

Office of Sport NSW is seeking a dedicated Program Officer to facilitate outdoor recreation and education activities for school, community and sporting groups across NSW. You will partner with teachers, group leaders and participants to deliver safe, engaging experiences that support wellbeing and participation outcomes.

You’ll run curriculum-aligned camps, holiday programs and community activities across our network of 10 Sport and Recreation Centres, including overnight residential duties and

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating participation in outdoor recreation, outdoor education or active recreation activities.
• Strong facilitation and instructional skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with a diverse range of participants and stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and lead outdoor recreation activities aligned to program objectives.
• Lead school camps and holiday activity programs.
• Support community groups and sporting organisations to achieve outcomes.
• Prepare equipment, resources and maintain activity areas.
• Manage participant safety and apply risk management.
