Job summary

The Office of Sport NSW is hiring a Program Officer to facilitate outdoor recreation and education activities for school, community, and sporting groups across multiple centres. You will work with teachers, group leaders and participants to deliver engaging, safe and inclusive experiences that support learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Role involves facilitating activities in diverse outdoor environments, supporting rosters including overnight duties, and contributing to the delivery of program

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating participation in outdoor recreation or outdoor education to achieve outcomes.
• Strong facilitation and instructional skills.
• Ability to engage a diverse range of participants and stakeholders.
• Commitment to participant safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Willingness to roster shifts including overnight residential duties.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate outdoor recreation activities across school camps, community groups and holiday programs.
• Lead outdoor recreation and team-building activities.
• Prepare equipment and maintain activity areas.
• Manage participant safety and risk management practices.
