Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a motivated Grounds Person to maintain gardens, lawns, pathways and outdoor spaces to a high standard. You will operate ride-on mowers and landscaping equipment, perform mowing, edging, pruning and weed control, and keep grounds tidy by removing litter and debris.

Ideally you have a White Card, previous grounds experience, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A current driver’s licence is preferred, and site clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• White Card is required.
• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
• Experience operating ride-on mowers and landscaping equipment.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and hazard awareness.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current driver’s licence is preferred.
• Ability to obtain any required site clearances or licences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, lawns, pathways, car parks, and landscaped areas.
• Operate ride-on mowers, tractors and a variety of tools.
• Mow, edge, prune, hedge trim and weed control.
• Remove litter, debris, leaves, grass clippings, and graffiti.
• Inspect and maintain grounds equipment and vehicles.
• Order and maintain grounds supplies and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards.
• Conduct routine inspections of fences, access roads, and outdoor assets.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
