Job summary

South East Water is seeking an experienced technology leader to join the Operational Technology team as Manager Technology Evaluation and Assurance. You will combine technical leadership with strong supplier relationships to drive technology priorities and enable their adoption across the water utility.

The role focuses on rigorous assessment, validation and transition of innovative technologies to improve reliability, efficiency, safety, customer outcomes and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology evaluation, product development, testing and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of device testing methodologies, verification and validation processes and quality assurance principles.
• Experience designing, implementing or managing automated test systems for hardware, firmware and software.
• Understanding of sensors, telemetry, industrial control systems and OT in utility/infrastructure environments.
• Strong project, stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
• Experience with budgets, business cases, pilot programs and innovation portfolios.
• LPWAN technologies and devices operating in cellular networks is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and engineering professionals and collaborate with suppliers to deliver technology priorities.
• Assess, validate and transition innovative technologies into operational use to improve reliability, efficiency, safety and asset performance.
• Translate technical findings into business recommendations for SEW and stakeholders.
