Job summary

St John of God Ballarat Hospital is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 or 2) to join a small, multidisciplinary Allied Health team in Ballarat. The role offers rotations across rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgical, general medicine, oncology and ICU, with mentoring and supervision available.

This permanent full-time position runs Monday to Friday with 7.30am/8am to 3.30pm/4pm shifts, promoting work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Registered occupational therapist (AHPRA) with a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to assess and treat across inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary allied health team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform holistic assessments across functional, cognitive and physical domains.
• Develop and deliver tailored treatment programs to maximise independence.
• Coordinate equipment and aids for return to daily living.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams.
