Job summary

St John of God Ballarat Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Grade 1 or 2) to join a small, collaborative Allied Health team. The role offers rotations across rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgical, general medicine, oncology and ICU, delivering high-quality OT to inpatients and outpatients.

This permanent full-time position provides a 38-hour week with shifts from 7.30am/8.00am to 3.30pm/4.00pm, and access to mentoring and supervision.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Current valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to inpatients and outpatients.
• Complete holistic assessments across functional, cognitive and physical domains.
• Develop and deliver tailored treatment programs to maximise independence.
• Assess and coordinate equipment and aids to support return to daily life.
• Work closely with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary Allied Health teams.
• Build clinical capability through exposure to a diverse caseload and multiple areas of practice.
