Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is hiring for a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, split shifts) to provide a safe, inclusive OSHC service for children and families. You will lead a professional team, design engaging programs, and maintain strong community relationships within our Catholic education setting.

The role requires relevant Early Childhood qualifications, OSHC experience, first-aid, and a NSW Working with Children check, with ongoing

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards
• Previous work experience in OSHC
• Certificate of training in Child Protection
• Full first-aid certificate
• NSW Working with Children check
• Completed GECCKO safety training or be prepared to register GECCKO

Responsibilities

• Be the responsible person for the service
• Provide a safe OSHC service for staff and children in a professional team environment
• Maintain attendance and bookings schedules for child safety
• Support the design and implement engaging educational programs with observations and journals
• Share children's participation and engagement with families
• Maintain strong relationships with families and the school community

The Role

With a genuine passion for childcare, you will be compassionate, and friendly and possess the ability to interact with children positively and productively.

This is a Permanent Part-time role 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Morning and afternoon split shifts)

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Be the responsible person for the service
• Provide a safe OSHC service for staff and children in an all-inclusive professional team environment
• Maintain children's attendance and casual bookings schedules to ensure child safety and supervision
• Support the design and implement engaging educational programs with observations and reflection journals
• Create opportunities to share children's participation and engagement in programs with families
• Maintain strong relationships with families and the school community

About You

To be successful you will have:

• Hold a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards
• Previous work experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
• Hold a certificate of training in Child Protection
• Full first-aid certificate
• Hold an NSW Working with Children check
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
