Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is seeking a dedicated Coordinator for Out of School Hours Care to provide a safe, engaging service for staff and children within our Catholic schools and parishes.

You will manage attendance and casual bookings, support engaging educational programs with observations, and foster strong partnerships with families and the school community while upholding child safety standards in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Hold a NSW Working with Children check.
• Complete the mandatory GECCKO national child safety training.
• Desirable OSHC experience.
• Desirable qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Desirable Certificate of training in Child Protection.
• Desirable full first-aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe OSHC service for staff and children in an all-inclusive professional team environment
• Maintain children's attendance and casual bookings schedules to ensure child safety and supervision
• Support the design and implement engaging educational programs with observations and reflection journals
• Create opportunities to share children’s participation and engagement in programs with families
• Maintain strong relationships with families and the school community

The Role

About you

To be successful, you will have:

• Hold a NSW Working with Children check
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
• (Desirable) Previous work experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
• (Desirable) Hold a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards
• (Desirable) Hold a certificate of training in Child Protection
• (Desirable) Full first-aid certificate
