Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is hiring a casual Educator for Gabbinbar, Centenary Heights, QLD. You will help supervise primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays, delivering a mix of structured and play-based activities to support social learning and creativity.

You’ll promote wellbeing, confidence and inclusion in a safe, fun environment while collaborating with a supportive team and contributing to high-quality care across sessions.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or similar.
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.
