Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking a Casual Educator to support our Outside School Hours Care team at The Gap. You will supervise children before and after school and during school holidays, fostering safe, inclusive environments where kids can learn through play.

The role requires holding or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, with a focus on energy, imagination and safety. Current First Aid and CPR, and a valid Blue Card, are preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Caresholders with children age 5–12.
• Strong supervision and activity facilitation.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children before/after school sessions
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities
• Create welcoming, inclusive spaces for all children
• Promote wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play
