Job summary

The YMCA Brisbane is hiring energetic Educators on a casual basis to join the Outside School Hours Care team. You’ll supervise and engage primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays, delivering a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities.

We value inclusivity, safety and wellbeing, and offer career coaching, professional development and a supportive, not-for-profit work environment. Flexible hours align with early morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.
