Job summary

PCYC Queensland is hiring an Outside School Hours Care Educator for the Allenstown Fun Squad. You’ll deliver safe, engaging programs for children, supervising activities and collaborating with a team to create a lively, inclusive environment.

With no formal qualifications required for some applicants, a Minimum Certificate III is supported, plus First Aid/CPR and a driver’s licence may be advantageous for bus duty roles. Apply promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.
• Experience in Fun Squad or long day care desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain) desirable.
• Light rigid/Medium rigid driver’s licence may be required for bus duties.

• No formalQualifications are prerequisite for this position

Qualified Educators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children. A range of study areas may be recognised including: behavioural science, community services, creative arts, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation and human welfare studies. • Experience working within the Fun Squad or long day care sector (desirable)
• Ability to respond to the needs of children to ensure high quality fun meets agreed standards
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain) (desirable)
• In some services, hold a light rigid or medium rigid driver’s licence, eligible to obtain an RDA (if undertaking Bus Driving duties)
• Hold a Queensland Transport Driver’s Authorisation Card (if undertaking Bus Driving duties)
