Job summary

PCYC Queensland Wynnum Fun Squad is seeking a passionate Outside School Hours Care Educator to join our team. You will help create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children, delivering high-quality fun programs while supervising and supporting a lively group.

No formal qualifications are required; a Certificate III in a relevant area is preferred, along with First Aid/CPR (desirable). This role offers not-for-profit salary packaging, gym membership, and development opportunities.

$37.55 - $45.56 per hour (depends on qualifications and experience, please note that junior rates may apply)

Your New Role

You will be a valued Educator who provides high quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for interacting with and effectively supervising the children while working as a team to deliver a high-quality and seriously fun programs with children. A key focus of this role is to acknowledge and support the unique strengths, needs and interests of each child while inspiring a supportive culture of safety and safeguarding children in line with PCYC Queensland values.We’re committed to fostering a supportive, respectful, and positive atmosphere where everyone is welcome. About You

• No formal Qualifications are prerequisite for this position
• Qualified Educators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.A range of study areas may be recognised including: behavioural science, community services, creative arts, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation and human welfare studies. • Experience working within the Fun Squad or long day care sector (desirable)
• Ability to respond to the needs of children to ensure high quality fun meets agreed standards
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain) (desirable)
• In some services, hold a light rigid or medium rigid driver’s licence, eligible to obtain an RDA (if undertaking Bus Driving duties)
• Hold a Queensland Transport Driver’s Authorisation Card (if undertaking Bus Driving duties)
