Job summary

PCYC Queensland is hiring casual Outside School Hours Care Educators for the Caningeraba Fun Squad. You’ll help deliver high-quality, safe and engaging programs for children, supervising activities and supporting a positive, inclusive culture.

No formal qualifications are required, but a Minimum Certificate III in a relevant area is preferred; current First Aid and CPR are desirable. Health and wellbeing benefits apply with flexible shifts and salary packaging.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are prerequisite for this position.
• Minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.
• Experience in the Fun Squad or long day care is desirable.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate is desirable.
• Driver’s licence may be required for bus duties where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children.
• Interact with and supervise children while delivering fun, high-quality programs as a team.

AboutYou

• No formalQualifications are prerequisite for this position
• QualifiedEducators require a Minimum Certificate III qualification in anarea relevant to working with children. A range ofstudy areas may be recognised including: behavioural science,community services, creative arts, education, nursing,physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sportsand recreation and human welfare studies. • Experienceworking within the Fun Squad or long day care sector(desirable)
• Ability torespond to the needs of children to ensure high quality funmeets agreed standards
• Hold a currentFirst Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)(desirable)
• In someservices, hold a light rigid or medium rigid driver’s licence,eligible to obtain an RDA (if undertaking Bus Drivingduties)
• Hold aQueensland Transport Driver’s Authorisation Card (ifundertaking Bus Driving duties)
