YMCA Victoria is seeking a permanent OSHC Coordinator for the Before and After School Care program at Truganina South Primary School. This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) with working hours 6:30am-9am and 2:30pm-6:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus daytime administration time.

The hourly rate is $40 with Diploma-level ACECQA qualification, and $46 per hour with a Degree or equivalent, plus an ACECQA retention payment and 12% super.

• ACECQA approved Degree or equivalent required.
• First Aid (HLTAID012) and CPR.
• Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.
• Working with Children Check (Victoria).
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate within first month of employment.

About the opportunity?

OSHC Coordinators Are Responsible For

• Overseeing the daily operations and strategic development and growth of the program;
• Working with the Regional OSHC Coordinator to identify and respond to service improvement opportunities;
• Creating a positive relationship with the school, families, local community groups and contract partners;
• Managing a team of educators who support you in operating a high quality and fun Outside of School Hours Care program

What do you need?

• You'll need to have either completed or be working towards a Diploma or tertiary-level qualification as determined by ACECQA (see the link below)
• Have (or be willing to obtain) HLTAID012 First Aid Qualifications (including valid CPR) and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check - employee check
• You'll need to have, or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor certificate within the first month of your employment

There are a variety of qualifications that ACECQA has approved to work within OSHC ranging from education to community services to healthcare. All Coordinators must be at a minimum, Diploma-level qualified.
