Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking a permanent OSHC Coordinator for Torquay Coast Primary. The role is full-time (38 hours/week) with rostered hours Monday to Friday, including early mornings and late afternoons, and administration time during the day.

The position offers an hourly rate of AUD 40 for Diploma-qualification and AUD 46 for Degree-qualification plus 12% superannuation and ACECQA-recognised benefits. Part-time options with a minimum 30 hours/week are considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ACECQA qualification required or in progress.
• HLTAID012 First Aid Qualification with CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.
• Victorian Working with Children Check (employee) required.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate within first month.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and growth of the OSHC program.
• Collaborate with Regional OSHC Coordinator on service improvements.
• Build positive relationships with the school, families, and community
• Lead a team of educators to operate a high‑quality OSHC program.

About the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking a permanent Coordinator for our Before and After School Care service at Torquay Coast Primary. This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week) with working hours from Monday to Friday 6:30am-10am, 2:30pm-6:30pm, with ample administration time during the day.

We are open to considering part-time applicants who can work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

The hourly rate for the position is $40 (ACECQA approved Diploma or equivalent) and $46 p/hour (ACECQA Approved Degree or equivalent) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

OSHC Coordinators are responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily operations and strategic development and growth of the program;
• Working with the Regional OSHC Coordinator to identify and respond to service improvement opportunities;
• Creating a positive relationship with the school, families, local community groups and contract partners;
• Managing a team of educators who support you in operating a high quality and fun Outside of School Hours Care program

What do you need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards a Diploma or tertiary-level qualification as determined by ACECQA (see the link below)
• Have (or be willing to obtain) HLTAID012 First Aid Qualifications (including valid CPR)and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor certificate within the first month of your employment
