Job summary

YMCA Victoria is hiring a Permanent Educator for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs at Wilandra Rise Primary School. This part-time, permanent role covers 32.5 hours per week with rosters 6:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–6:30pm, Monday to Friday; school holidays 7:00am–6:00pm.

The hourly rate starts at $32, plus ECEC retention payment and super. You will empower children, support families, and collaborate with our OSHC team under an experienced Coordinator to deliver engaging

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification (or in progress) for early childhood education.
• First Aid in Education & Care Setting certificate or equivalent.
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check (employee check).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and the school community.

What’s the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking a Permanent Educator for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within Wilandra Rise Primary School. This is a permanent part‑time position (32.5 hours per week) with working hours from 6:30am-9am & 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday to Friday. School holiday working hours across 7:00am to 6:00pm. The hourly rate for the position is $32 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super. As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
