Job summary

Archdiocese of Brisbane seeks a Coordinator for St Anthony's OSHC, Alexandra Hills for a six-month maternity leave contract. Lead and mentor an established team, ensure safe, inclusive care for up to 150 children across BSC/ASC/VAC programs, and strengthen relationships with families and the school community.

Start December/January; 6-month term. Role requires a Diploma in Children's Services, Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Nominated Supervisor eligibility.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Children's Services per ACECQA requirements.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) current.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Ability to act as Nominated Supervisor.
• Willingness to complete National Child Training via Geckko.
• Understanding of National Quality Framework & My Time, Our Place.
• Experience leading or managing a childcare/OSHC service.
• Child protection training current or required before start.
• Proficiency with childcare management systems (Xplor preferred).
• Ability to develop, motivate and support a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire an established team of educators to deliver high-quality care and engaging programs.
• Strengthen partnerships with families, school and parish community.
• Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement and introduce ideas to enhance children's experiences.
• Plan and deliver BSC, ASC and VAC programs reflecting children's interests.
• Foster a culture of belonging, collaboration and excellence across the service.
