Job summary

Archdiocese of Brisbane seeks a Coordinator for St Anthony's OSHC, Alexandra Hills for a six-month maternity leave contract. Lead and mentor an established team, ensure safe, inclusive care for up to 150 children across BSC/ASC/VAC programs, and strengthen relationships with families and the school community.

Start December/January; 6-month term. Role requires a Diploma in Children's Services, Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Nominated Supervisor eligibility.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Children's Services per ACECQA requirements.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) current.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Ability to act as Nominated Supervisor.
• Willingness to complete National Child Training via Geckko.
• Understanding of National Quality Framework & My Time, Our Place.
• Experience leading or managing a childcare/OSHC service.
• Child protection training current or required before start.
• Proficiency with childcare management systems (Xplor preferred).
• Ability to develop, motivate and support a team.

Maternity Leave Contract | 6 month Contract - Start December/January

We're seeking a passionate and motivated Coordinator to join our team at St Anthony's Outside School Hours Care, Alexandra Hills for a six month maternity leave contract.

Serving up to 150 children, our service is known for its vibrant, welcoming community and commitment to providing high-quality care and education. We provide Before School Care (BSC), After School Care (ASC) and Vacation Care (VAC) programs designed to support children and families throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and inspire an established team of educators to deliver high-quality care and engaging programs.
• Build on the service's strong reputation and continue to foster positive relationships with families and the school community.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel valued, supported and excited to attend.
• Strengthen partnerships with children, families, educators, school staff and the parish community.
• Oversee the daily operations of the service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance children's experiences.
• Support the planning and delivery of Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs that reflect children's interests and needs.
• Champion a culture of belonging, collaboration and excellence across the service.

Job Requirements:

• A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification in accordance with ACECQA requirements.
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) .
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications .
• The ability and willingness to provide consent to act as the Nominated Supervisor .
• Current completion, or willingness to complete prior to commencement, of mandatory National Child Training via Geckko .
• A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place .
• Previous experience leading or managing a childcare or OSHC service.
• Current child protection training, or the ability to meet this requirement prior to commencement.
• Confidence using childcare management systems, with Xplor experience highly regarded .
• Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate and support a team.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
