Job summary

Gooburrum Out of School Hours Care (GOSHC) is offering a permanent Part-time OSHC Coordinator Educator role at a well-established, licensed service for up to 30 children, providing before-school, after-school and vacation care on the school grounds.

The role emphasizes creating a safe, nurturing environment, leading Educators, planning learning activities, and maintaining strong communication with families and the school community, with professional development supported by the P&C and school."

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills within school community
• Knowledge of child development and learning progressions
• Ability to lead and mentor Educators and support staff
• Experience with accreditation processes and child safety frameworks

Responsibilities

• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the day-to-day delivery of care and operations of the service
• Manage administration, staffing, accreditation processes, and finance management
• Support the professional development and management of the GOSHC Education team
• Build meaningful, trusting, and respectful relationships with children and their caregivers
• Lead a team through supporting and mentoring other Educators
• Plan, programme, and observe children's developmental growth
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff and governing agencies
