Job summary

The Y Queensland in Gold Coast is seeking a passionate Coordinator for our Gainsborough Outside School Hours Care service. You will oversee day-to-day operations, develop child-led programs, and lead a team of educators to deliver safe, engaging care.

We value inclusion, safety and strong connections with families and schools. A Diploma in Children’s Services or related qualification is required, with opportunities for professional development and growth within a not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Children’s Services or related field.
• Experience in children’s programming and service operations.
• Strong communication, leadership and time-management skills.
• Blue Card or willingness to obtain, First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive environments and familiarity with NQF.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service.
• Develop fun, child-led programs for diverse groups.
• Lead and support a team of educators with coaching and guidance.
• Ensure high standards in compliance, administration, and safety.
• Build strong connections with families, schools and the community.
• Create a safe, inclusive space where children can grow and explore.
