Big Childcare is seeking enthusiastic Casual OSHC Educators to join our team in Caversham, Western Australia. You will help run before-school, after-school and vacation care programs across our services, ensuring safe, engaging experiences for children.

Ideal applicants will have WA Working With Children clearance, OSHC/childcare experience (preferred), and be available for morning and afternoon split shifts. We value child safety and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Formación

• Valid Working With Children Check WA.
• OSHC or childcare experience (highly regarded).
• ACECQA approved qualification required.
• Availability for morning and afternoon split shifts.
• National Coordinated Criminal Check within 6 months or willingness to obtain.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Reliable transport to travel between multiple services if required.
• Strong knowledge of Child Safe Principles and safeguarding children.

About the Role

As an OSHC Educator, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for children before school, after school and during vacation care programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervising and engaging children in fun, educational and recreational activities
• Leading games, sports, arts, crafts and cooking experiences
• Assisting with planning age-appropriate programs
• Setting up and packing down activities and food service areas
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive environment
• Following company policies, procedures and compliance requirements
• Building positive relationships with children, families, schools and team members

About You

You are energetic, caring and passionate about working with children. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing quality care.

• Valid Working With Children Check WA
• Experience in OSHC or childcare (highly regarded)
• Currently studying towards or holding an ACECQA approved qualification
• Availability for morning and afternoon split shifts
• National Coordinated Criminal Check (within 6 months) or willingness to obtain
• Full Australian working rights
• Reliable transport to travel between Northern suburb services if required
• Strong knowledge of Child Safe Principles, with a demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their safety, wellbeing, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
