Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is seeking a casual OSHC Assistant Coordinator to support primary school children in the Helping Hands Baringa service. The role fits around university timetables, parent schedules, and other commitments, offering morning and afternoon shifts.

You will gain hands-on experience in teaching/childcare settings, join a respectful team, and access paid training plus career pathways to leadership roles within JAG.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week.
• Holding or willing to obtain a national police check and a state Working with Children check.

Pick up shifts across the services open hours:

• Morning Shift: 6:00am - 9:00am Monday - Friday (Rise then Shine Program)
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 6:00pm Monday - Friday (Stay and Play Program)

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLD in accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
