Job summary

Helping Hands Baringa is recruiting for OSHC shifts designed for university students, parents, or anyone needing midday flexibility. You’ll support primary school activities, gain hands-on experience with kids, and work around timetables, placements, and commitments.

Shifts run 6:00am‑9:00am and 2:00pm‑6:00pm on weekdays, with extra hours in school holidays. Competitive pay and family-friendly benefits accompany a supportive team culture and clear career pathways.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we're happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we're looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
