At Spiire, our purpose is to better our communities, create opportunities for our people and clients, and deliver value to our stakeholders.

We bring together civil and water engineers, landscape architects, construction consultants, surveyors, town planners and urban designers to support the property and infrastructure sectors.

With over 430 employees, we’re one of Australia’s largest employee-owned property and infrastructure consultancies, bringing over 40 years of experience and local expertise to projects across Melbourne, Bendigo, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Geelong, Ballarat, Shepparton, Gippsland, Albury and Wodonga, and Townsville.

Melbourne, Geelong, Shepparton or Bendigo
About this opportunity

We’re looking for an Organisational Development & Learning Specialist to join our People & Capability team here at Spiire.

We invest heavily in learning and development and believe in creating opportunities for our people to grow. In this role, you’ll help bring that commitment to life through practical, engaging learning experiences that build confidence, strengthen leadership and support our culture.

This is an opportunity for someone with a foundation in learning and development who’s keen to broaden their experience in organisational development. You don’t need to have done it all already. We’re looking for curiosity, confidence facilitating groups and a willingness to learn about our people and our business.

You can be based in Melbourne, Geelong or Bendigo, with regular travel to Melbourne if you’re based in a regional office.

Here’s what you’ll get to do:

Working closely with our P&C team and leaders across Spiire, you’ll identify development needs and turn them into programs, workshops and resources that people can apply in their everyday work.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Design and deliver learning programs that support the development of our leaders, managers and employees.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops and development sessions focused on leadership, culture and team effectiveness.
  • Partner with leaders and P&C Business Partners to understand business priorities and identify learning and capability needs.
  • Develop practical learning resources, tools and activities that help people put new skills into practice.
  • Contribute to broader organisational development initiatives, building your experience in areas such as capability frameworks, culture and change.
  • Gather feedback and evaluate the impact of learning programs, using insights to improve how we develop our people.
What we are seeking

We’re looking for someone who’s curious, approachable and enthusiastic about helping others develop. You enjoy getting to know a business, building relationships and understanding what people need to succeed.

You might be working in L&D, capability development or a role that combines learning design and facilitation, and be ready to take the next step. You’ll bring some practical experience and plenty of potential, along with an interest in growing your organisational development skills.

You will come to us with:

  • Around 2–5 years’ relevant experience in learning and development, capability building or a similar role.
  • Confidence facilitating groups and creating an environment where people feel comfortable contributing and learning.
  • Experience developing and delivering learning programs or workshops, with an ability to make content practical and engaging.
  • An ability to ask questions, understand learning needs and adapt your approach to different teams and audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach to working with leaders and colleagues.
  • A proactive attitude, openness to feedback and a genuine interest in your own development.

We welcome experience from a range of industries. A consultancy or professional services background would be beneficial, but it’s not essential. Your ability to understand our business, adapt and connect with our people matters most.

Our Culture, Our Difference

At Spiire, we believe our culture is our difference. As a successful and growing employee-owned business, we recognise and reward the contributions of our people and provide real opportunities and pathways for career progression. We’ve built a vibrant team culture and inspiring environment for our people to grow as we grow.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s waiting for you:

  • Access to our Health and Wellbeing program: financial, social, emotional and physical.
  • An extension of leave benefits including study leave, volunteer days and an attractive parental leave policy.
  • Inclusion and diversity events and initiatives, running clubs and bring your kids to work day.
  • Opportunities to collaborate across offices and work on integrated projects.
  • Supportive leaders and clear pathways for career progression.
  • A fun, inclusive environment that makes coming to work rewarding.
  • Regular morning teas and lunches, team social and office events.
