Job summary

Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists Maroochydore in Maroochydore, QLD is seeking a friendly Optical Receptionist to join our busy practice. No optical experience required—we can teach you what you need to know, while you focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

You will manage front-desk tasks, assist with frame selections, handle sales at the counter, and keep the practice running smoothly during business hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists Maroochydore – Maroochydore QLD

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Optical Receptionist to join our team at Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists in Maroochydore, QLD. No Optical Experience Required- we can teach you what you need to know.

You will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy optometry practice.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assisting customers with frame selection and providing advice on lens options
• Minor optical repairs and adjustments
• Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Restocking and organising optical display areas

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as an Optical Dispenser/Assistant (preferred) or a experienced in a customer service role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Great computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
• A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude

We offer above award rates of pay in line with your experience. This role is currently 4 days per week (hours to suit you) with the view to work 5 days per week (full time) as required. Business hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
