Job summary

The Optical Superstore in Hervey Bay is seeking an Optical Dispenser/Optical Assistant for casual hours during the week, with Saturdays and Thursday evenings required. Training will be provided, so previous optical experience is not essential.

You will help customers select frames and lenses and deliver excellent service in a friendly team setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, with a focus on helping customers find the best eyewear for their needs.

Qualifications

• No optical experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Previous experience in optics is a plus but not essential.
• Casual hours with Saturday and Thursday evening shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to choose spectacle frames and lenses.
• Provide friendly, informed optical advice and recommendations.
• Enter data accurately into the point-of-sale system.

Our experienced and friendly team in Hervey Bay are looking for an Optical Dispenser/Optical Assistant to work casual hours, during the week. Saturdays and Thursday evenings are required.

While previous Optical experience would be preferred, it is not essential as full on the job training will be given to the successful applicant.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication, customer service skills.
