Orica is seeking an experienced MMU Operator to join the North Surface Coal Team in Dawson, QLD. You will operate the MMU and blasting equipment to load products into blast holes on customer sites, on a 7 days on/7 days off roster with on-site camp facilities provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an MMU or similar blast delivery vehicle.
• Proven commitment to safety and secure handling of blasting products.
• Ability to work effectively in a team on site under rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate the MMU vehicle and related blasting plant on customer sites.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and daily site administration.
• Deliver explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes with accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure excellent service to customers.

We are delighted to announce that we are currently seeking applications for an experienced MMU Operator to join our North Surface Coal Team in Dawson!
As an MMU Operator, you will operate the MMU to pump the explosive product into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer site. These roles will be Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO), operating mostly on 7 days on/7 days off rosters, and camp facilities will be provided for the duration of the roster.

What you will be doing

• Operating our MMU vehicle (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and other associated blasting plant and machinery;
• Assisting with preventative maintenance.
• Assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench;
• Working in tight unison with your teammates to provide an excellence in service to our valued customers;
• Daily administration and customer interactions.

What you will bring

• An unquestionable attitude toward working safely as a priority;
• Experience operating an MMU, or similar blast delivery vehicle; or
• Current HR Licence;
• Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance;
• A positive team-orientated work ethic;
• A positive attitude to customer service.
