We're looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Technician (HcD Technician) to join our Mining Services team based in Townsville, Queensland.
In this role, you'll support Orica's underground blasting technology and customer‑operated systems through maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment commissioning, and technical support across Queensland and the Pacific region.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified tradespeople looking to apply their technical skills in a new industry. Whether your background is in automotive electrical, light vehicle automotive, heavy vehicle maintenance, manufacturing, hydraulics, industrial equipment, or mining, we'll support you to develop your knowledge of underground blasting operations and specialised mining equipment.
Working on a 15/13 roster, you'll enjoy a high level of autonomy while providing technical support to customers, conducting site visits, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability and performance.
