Job summary

Orica is inviting applications for an MMU Operator to join our team at Boundary Hill and support blasting operations on customer sites. This role is Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) with staff housing provided for the roster period.

You will operate the MMU to pump explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on customer sites, and there are opportunities for career development within our global blasting technologies team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an MMU, or similar blast delivery vehicle.
• Current HR Licence is required.
• Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the MMU vehicle (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and other blasting plant.
• Assist with preventative maintenance.
• Assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench.
• Work in unison with teammates to provide excellent service to customers.
• Daily administration and customer interactions.

As an MMU Operator, you will operate the MMU to pump the explosive product into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer site. This role is Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO), operating primarily on a lifestyle roster, with staff housing provided for the duration of your roster.

What you will be doing

• Operating our MMU vehicle (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and other associated blasting plant and machinery;
• Assisting with preventative maintenance.
• Assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench;
• Working in tight unison with your teammates to provide an excellence in service to our valued customers;
• Daily administration and customer interactions.

What you will bring

• An unquestionable attitude toward working safely as a priority;

• Current HR Licence;
• Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance;
