Job summary

IJED in the Shoalhaven region is seeking an Excavator and Labourer to support electrical and construction tasks on commercial projects.

You will operate excavators (1.8T to 8T), perform trenching and backfill, and assist with conduit networks and concrete works. A valid driver's licence and the ability to pass a security check are required.

This role offers hands-on field work with opportunities to contribute to large-scale projects in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators in a construction setting.
• Ability to perform trenching and backfill.
• Pass a criminal history check and legal work status in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators (1.8T–8T) including trenching and backfill.
• Assist with electrical conduit and pit networks.
• Construct concrete switchboard plinths and slabs.
• Load and unload materials and equipment on site.
• Must have a valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Must pass a criminal history check and be eligible to work in Australia.

About the role

Excavator and Labourer role involving operation of excavators (1.8T to 8T) and support for electrical and construction tasks.

Key responsibilities

Operate excavators (1.8T to 8T) including trenching, backfill, detailed slab cuts, final trim and clean up

Electrical conduit and pit networks

Concrete switchboard plinths and slabs

Loading and unloading materials and equipment

Must have driver's licence

Must be able to pass a criminal history check and be legally able to work in Australia
