Job summary

ARC (Australian Reinforcing Company), a brand of InfraBuild, invites applications for permanent full-time Machine Operators at our Hemmant site. You will operate machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to spec and join a safety‑minded, team‑oriented production environment.

This indoor role offers day or afternoon shifts with built‑in overtime and a ramp‑up plan toward Level 2 pay, plus full training, PPE, and parking options.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfort working in a physical production environment; hands-on experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to customer specifications.
• Set up equipment, monitor production and perform quality checks.
• Use overhead cranes to move bundles of steel and finished components safely.
• Load and unload trucks using overhead cranes.
• Collaborate with the production team to maintain safety and quality standards.

ARC is expanding, and we are looking for permanent full-time Machine Operators to join our Hemmant team. In this hands‑on role, you will use specialised machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to customer specifications. You will work in an indoor environment where safety, quality and teamwork come first.

What you will be doing:

• Operating machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to customer specifications
• Setting up equipment, monitoring production and completing quality checks
• Using overhead cranes to safely move bundles of steel and finished components
• Loading and unloading trucks using overhead cranes
• Working safely as part of a supportive production team

Shift options:

Day shift 5am to 1pm or afternoon shift 1pm to 9pm. Afternoon shift attracts a 20% shift loading.

Overtime is available

Rostered Day off (RDO) every month

Entry Rate:

$31.50 per hour (no experience required)

Level 1:

$33.43 per hour (based on skills and experience)

Level 2:

$35.42 per hour (expected within 6 months of training)

You will be rewarded with:

• Permanent full-time work and long-term job security

What you will bring:

• A strong commitment to working safely and following procedures

• Confidence working in a hands‑on, physical production environment
• Machine operating, manufacturing or heavy industrial experience is highly regarded, but not essential
• Overhead crane experience is an advantage; training will be provided
