Job summary

Amazon Fulfillment Center in Dandenong is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant) for the inbound process on a day shift (7am - 5pm). You will support the Area Manager, guide team members to follow established processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This hands-on role provides practical experience with tools and systems.

The role requires leading teams, coordinating labor, and driving safety and efficiency initiatives while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Train associates and verify SOP compliance on the floor.
• Monitor performance through tracking and feedback of associate performance.
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Understand workflow and daily production goals.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; address hazards; coach safe work practices.

Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Inbound - Day Shift

We're seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong working on day shift (7am - 5pm).

The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path.

You’ll be the go-to person for team members during your shift, guiding them to follow established processes and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role that will give you practical experience with the tools and systems.

Key job responsibilities

• Support and work in Inbound and other departments as required
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties
• Providing coverage for Area Managers
• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
• Tracking and reporting of abor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organised,
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

Basic Qualifications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Work 38+ hours per week, and overtime as required
• Previous experience leading teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
• Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience directly managing others,
• Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
