Job summary

TOT Transport seeks an Operations Supervisor to join our ACT depot, overseeing afternoon and evening transport coordination, driver management and warehouse support. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries with a hands-on presence in the ACT depot.

You will manage driver allocations, rosters and reporting, while coordinating with customers and internal teams to uphold service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or warehousing is required.
• Experience coordinating drivers and allocating resources is essential.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using transport management or warehouse systems.
• Proficient in Excel and reporting; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor afternoon operations and proactively manage delays and driver issues.
• Coordinate with customers, drivers and internal teams to complete deliveries.
• Manage driver allocations, bookings and rosters in the TMS; plan next day operations.
• Support driver management, compliance and general admin tasks.
• Provide hands-on depot support when vehicles return and prepare freight for onward delivery.
• Assist with cross-dock receipt, staging, scanning and inventory records.
• Prepare daily allocation reporting and communicate to the operations team as scheduled.
• Resolve operational issues and customer allocations or conflicts.
• Provide adhoc admin support as needed.

About the role

TOT Transport is seeking a motivated and hands‑on Operations Supervisor to join our growing team in the ACT.

This is a varied operational role combining transport coordination, driver management, warehouse support, compliance, reporting and customer service.

You will play a key role in ensuring our afternoon operations run smoothly, drivers have the support and resources they need, freight is processed efficiently at the depot, and the following day's operations are planned and ready to go whilst ensuring our customers receive the service excellence TOT is known for.

This role requires a hands‑on presence at our ACT depot, particularly during afternoon and evening operations, while also providing the flexibility to complete coordination and administrative responsibilities. This full‑time role operates Friday to Tuesday, 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Responsibilities include but not limited to;

• Monitor afternoon operations activity, proactively managing delays, driver issues and arranging backup transport where required
• Liaise with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders to ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed efficiently
• Manage driver allocations, bookings and daily rosters through the transport management system, including planning the following day’s operations
• Support driver management, claims, incidents, compliance and general operational administration as required
• Provide hands‑on support to drivers and manage the depot when vehicles return, ensuring freight is unloaded, processed and prepared for onward delivery
• Assist with the receipt, staging, scanning and processing of cross‑dock ensuring accurate handling and inventory records
• Complete daily allocation reporting and general administration duties
• Prepare and communicate daily reporting to the operations team and wider business as per reporting schedule
• Resolve arising operational issues, customer allocations and/or conflicts
• Adhoc admin support for the business and team

The successful applicant will be a person who possesses the following attributes;

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or warehousing
• Experience in transport operations, driver coordination, allocations
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, particularly when working with drivers and operational teams
• Experience using TMS or WMS systems
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks and make decisions quickly in a time‑sensitive environment
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
• Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a wider team
• Strong commitment to safety, WHS and COR
• Positive attitude and commitment to service excellence
• Current and valid Full Australian Driver Licence
